Colorado Property Owners for Property Rights (COPR) is a nonprofit organization. COPR was created by property owners, real estate professionals, and property managers in Summit County to advocate for property rights and to take necessary legal action to maintain our property rights.
COPR’s forthcoming lawsuit will seek to invalidate the Town of Breckenridge’s short-term rental ordinances, including the creation of zones within the town for STRs and the limits on the number of licenses permitted in each zone.

We are registered as a non-profit organization in the state of Colorado and have a pending 501(c)(3) application with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service. A portion of your membership will be used to fund expenses associated with COPR’s legal challenge to invalidate sections of the Town of Breckenridge’s Short Term Rental Ordinance. This is not a class action lawsuit and COPR is not seeking a financial judgment. COPR will not share or sell your email or other personal information.
About Your Donation:
While we have every intention of bringing this action and following it through to the end, in the event that adequate funds cannot be raised or it is determined to not pursue the claims, donations from August 25, 2023, forward, will be held in a separate account and refunded less any administrative and third party costs.
